At
Bangalore Genei, we are committed to provide hands on training
in Molecular Biology/Immunotechniques. The overwhelming
response to this training programme from professionals and
students from all over the country has encouraged us to
continue with the programme covering a much broader spectrum
of techniques this year. We have designed two programmes,
Basic Training in Recombinant DNA Technology (Programme I) and
Basic Training in Protein Purification and Immunotechniques (Programme
II). We also have a third Programme, which is a combination of
both Programmes I and II. The programmes include lectures,
discussions and bench work for 8-9 hours a day conducted by
our scientists.
The basic training
Programme I or II is for 4 days and Programme III is for 8
days. Each programme limited to 20 applicants. In case of
unavoidable circumstances, the programme may stand cancelled
with prior notice.
Fee:
The fee includes training charges, lab manual, use of
instruments and chemicals. Refreshments and lunch will be
provided. The price does not include room, boarding and
transport cost. However it includes service tax @ 8%.
Programme
I: Basic Training in Recombinant DNA Technology and PCR
The
programme includes microbial techniques, restriction digestion
and gel electrophoresis, plasmid isolation and purification,
isolation of genomic DNA, DNA purification from gel, ligation
of foreign gene into vector (gene cloning), preparation of
competent cells, bacterial transformation, polymerase chain
reaction and phage titration.
Programme
II: Basic Training in Protein purification and
Immunotechniques
This
programme includes protein purification and analysis,
monoclonal and polyclonal antibody production (Demo), antibody
titration, purification and labelling. The programme also
includes Immunotechniques e.g., Western Blotting, ELISA,
Immuno-histochemistry and latex agglutination tests.
Programme
III: We offer special price for
Programme III where we have combined both Programmes I and II
(for 8 days).
